▪ Weakness :

1) Due to shortage of teaching faculty, teachers are unable to engage themselves in research activities to a great extent.

2) Bigger laboratory will be beneficial for the department.

▪ Opportunities:

1) In Serchhip District, this college is the only college offering under-graduate courses of our department (Mathematics). Therefore, students interested in this department has a great opportunity to enhance their educational careers.

2) The subject (Mathematics) itself provides the opportunity for higher studies in any field of science.

▪ Challenges :

1) Generally, students find difficulty in grasping the basic concept in different line of mathematics when they enter UG. It is always a big challenge for us to provide better knowledge of the subject.

2) To aware and sensitize among the students the importance and significance of the subject and the scope that it provides for their future careers

3) To inspire and motivate students to excel in their academic performances and to help them achieve their academic goals and objectives
