HISTORY:
Established in 1973, Government Serchhip College initiated its academic journey with departments including economics, political science, English, and history. Mr. Lalbiakthuama, MA in Economics, served as the first lecturer in the Economics Department. Initially, classes were conducted in the evenings at A.O.C. Veng Serchhip's Community Hall. However, due to the hall's age and its use as a nighttime shelter for animals, cleanliness was a challenge. The middle school provided blackboards, while chairs and tables were supplied by the high school. Subsequently, the department was relocated to the College Campus for better facilities.
