WORLD BIOFUEL DAY OBSERVED AT GSC


On August 11th, 2025, the Eco Club of Government Serchhip College, in collaboration with the Department of Botany, organized a seminar in observance of World Biofuel Day. The event aimed to highlight the importance of biofuels as sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives to fossil fuels.

Mr. Tommy Lalmalsawma Colney, Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, served as the Resource Person, delivering an insightful session on the significance of biofuels. The seminar’s objective was to raise awareness, inspire innovative ideas, and promote practices related to biofuels, while addressing critical issues concerning energy security and the pursuit of a cleaner, greener world.

The program was chaired by Mrs. Malsawmtluangi, Head of the Department of Botany and Teacher In-charge of the Eco Club. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. P.C. Malsawmtluanga, Leader of the Eco Club.
