The Wildlife Protection Club and NSS of Govt Serchhip College organized an open competition titled "Waste to Craft" on 18th October, 2024 Eleven students participated, showcasing their creativity by transforming waste materials into useful items.

The results were announced on 25th October, 2024. Vanrammawii, 3rd Semester BA , won the first prize and received a cash award of ₹500. The second prize was secured by Lawmsangzuali, 1st Semester BA , who received ₹300. The third prize was shared by Zothanpuii, 1st Semester BA and Nicole Lalngurpuii, 3rd Semester BA , with each receiving ₹200.

The competition aimed to raise awareness about the impact of improper waste disposal on local wildlife. It emphasized the importance of repurposing waste to minimize harm to the fauna and environment, promoting sustainable practices within the community.
