VISIT TO ZOAR URBAN DEPRIVED CHILDRENS HOME & DONATION OF LEARNING MATERIALS

On 12th February 2026, the Literature Club, DepartmentS of Chemistry and English, Govt. Serchhip College visited Zoar Urban Deprived Children’s Home and donated books and learning materials. The visit aimed to extend care, spread knowledge and promote the importance of literature in young minds. Upon arrival at the home, the club members and teachers were warmly welcomed by the home staff and children. The event began with a short introduction about the purpose of the visit. The books bought by club members were formally handed over to the home authorities. The superintendent of the home, Mr. Lalruatdika gave a report on the administration and details of children currently placed in the home.
For the club members, the visit was a humbling and rewarding experience that reinforced the value of sharing and community service. The Literature Club also plans to continue organizing such events in the future.
