Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 – District Level

Serchhip District, Mizoram | 26th February 2026

The District Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 for Serchhip District was successfully conducted on 26th February 2026 at HD Rosanga Hall, Government Serchhip College. The programme was organized by the NSS Unit of Government Serchhip College and commenced at 1:00 PM.

The event was gracefully hosted by Ms. Lianzampuii, a 4th Semester student from the Department of Zoology. The programme began on a solemn note with the singing of the National Anthem, setting a dignified tone for the proceedings.

Inaugural Session

The gathering was warmly welcomed by Mr. C. Laldintluanga, Principal of Government Serchhip College, who delivered an inspiring and motivating address. In his speech, he encouraged students to actively engage in democratic processes and develop leadership qualities essential for nation-building.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. S. Beihrosa, Nodal Officer for Serchhip District. He emphasized the importance of youth participation in parliamentary practices and highlighted the significance of the Vikshit Bharat initiative in shaping responsible and informed citizens.

Competition Proceedings

Following the inaugural session, the Youth Parliament competition commenced. A total of 8 participants showcased their parliamentary skills, articulating their ideas with confidence and clarity.

The competition was evaluated by an esteemed panel of jury members:

The jury carefully assessed the participants based on content, presentation, confidence, and understanding of parliamentary procedures.

The programme witnessed an impressive attendance of approximately 180 participants, including students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers.

Results and Shortlisting

After a thorough evaluation, participants were shortlisted to represent Serchhip District at the State Level Youth Parliament Competition. The Top 5 selected candidates are:

K. Laldawngliani

Constructive feedback was provided to the participants by Dr. K. Lalrinchhana and Mrs. Lalthanpari Poonte, who guided them on areas of improvement and appreciated their commendable efforts.

Valedictory Session

The result declaration and award distribution ceremony was conducted by Dr. S. Beihrosa, Nodal Officer, Serchhip District, along with Dr. C. Vanlalnghaka, NSS Programme Officer, Government Serchhip College.

The programme concluded successfully at 4:30 PM, marking a meaningful and enriching academic event that promoted democratic values, leadership skills, and youth empowerment.
