THE PHUNCHAWNG CULTURAL CLUB OF GSC SHOWCASES MIZO HERITAGE AT INTERNATIONAL MILITARY ADVENTURE CHALLENGEE

The Phunchawng Cultural Club (PCC) proudly represented Mizo culture at the International Military Adventure Challenge held in Yingkiong, Arunachal Pradesh. As part of the official programme, the club was assigned an evening cultural performance slot, where they delivered a vibrant and well-coordinated presentation.

Cultural Performances

The club performed two iconic traditional Mizo dances:

  • Bualpui Cheraw (Bamboo Dance)
  • Chheih Lam

Both performances were executed with precision and discipline, strictly following the scheduled programme. The audience responded warmly, expressing appreciation for the authenticity, energy, and cultural richness displayed by the performers.

Interactive Cultural Exchange

A special interactive session added a unique highlight to the event. Senior Army officers were invited to participate in the Cheraw dance, offering them a firsthand cultural experience. The officers joined enthusiastically, showing great enjoyment and appreciation.

The Chheih Lam session further energized the atmosphere, as participants engaged in lively singing and rhythmic movement, fostering a sense of unity and joy.

The programme concluded with a formal group photograph session involving the PCC members and senior Army officers, commemorating the occasion and strengthening bonds of cultural exchange.

The participation of the Phunchawng Cultural Club was a resounding success. The event served as a meaningful platform to:

  • Promote Mizo cultural heritage
  • Encourage cultural exchange
  • Foster mutual respect and appreciation

The club’s performance stood as a dignified and vibrant representation of Mizoram’s rich traditions on a wider national stage.
