TEACHERS DAY AT GSC

On this year's Teachers' Day, September 5th, the student union leaders of Government Serchhip College organized a heartfelt event to honor and appreciate the teachers. The program commenced with a bible reading and prayer by Zorampara of 3rd semester BA. It was hosted with great enthusiasm by B.Lalramsanga (5th Semester) and Abhisak (1st Semester), featured beautiful performances from Phunchawng Cultural Club and melodious songs by Lalruatkima (3rd semester) and Vanlaltanpuii (1st semester), keeping the audience thoroughly entertained. Benjamin, the student union vice president, delivered a speech, followed by the principal, who expressed his gratitude to the students and also offered words of encouragement to the teachers. A notable moment was the speech from Mr. Ricky Lalsangzuala, Associate Professor of Geography, which carried a touch of sadness as he will be retiring at the end of the month. A cake-cutting ceremony then took place, where teachers were invited to the stage, and the students joined in singing a touching Teachers' Day song. In addition to the grand event, students of different departments made the day extra special by surprising their teachers with cakes and gifts. The campus was filled with joy and harmony, making it a truly memorable Teachers' Day.
