The Department of Botany proudly announced Malsawmdawngkimi from the 5th Semester as the Student of the Month for July 2024. In recognition of her outstanding academic performance and active participation in co-curricular activities, she was honored with a certificate and a cash incentive of ₹300, presented by the Principal of the college earlier today on 27th Aug 2024.

This tradition of awarding the Student of the Month began during the COVID-19 pandemic, initially intended to help students recharge their phones for online classes and to motivate them to excel in their studies and co-curricular engagements. Though the circumstances have since changed, the department has continued this practice as a way to encourage students to maintain high academic standards and remain actively involved in campus activities.
