The Staff Welfare Committee of Government Serchhip College organized a heartfelt programme on 15th January 2025 to honor two significant events—the bereavement of a beloved faculty member's family and the farewell of two cherished colleagues. The event reflected the deep sense of community and support within the college.

The programme began with a tribute to the late father of Dr. Lalchhingpuii. The college community came together to express their condolences and support during this difficult time. A citation was presented to Dr. Achhingi in honor of her father, recognizing his legacy and the impact of his values on the family and beyond.

Following this solemn occasion, the programme transitioned into a farewell event for Dr. H. Lalchhanhima and Mrs. Laldampuii, who have been transferred to Government Zirtiri Residential Science College and Government Aizawl West College, respectively. Both faculty members have been valued contributors to GSC, and their departure marked the end of a cherished chapter.

As a gesture of appreciation and remembrance, the Staff Welfare Committee presented tokens of gratitude to Dr. Chhama and Mrs. Dampuii. The atmosphere was a blend of gratitude and fond farewells as everyone wished them success in their new roles.
