The Career Guidance and Counselling Cell, Government Serchhip College, organised a sensitization programme on the Azim Premji Scholarship on 10th September 2025 at 11:00 AM in Room B-201, Academic Block. The programme was arranged for the First Semester students with the aim of creating awareness about scholarship opportunities that can support and encourage higher education.

The session was chaired by Dr. Zarzosanga, Chairman of the Career Guidance and Counselling Cell, and graced by two distinguished resource persons from Azim Premji University, Bangalore –

1. Mr. Tirang Luikang Rangsanamei, Faculty
2. Mr. Manoj Kumar Khadka, Faculty

The programme began with a brief introduction of the guests, followed by their detailed presentations. The resource persons explained the objectives of the Azim Premji Scholarship, the eligibility criteria, application process, and the benefits it offers to students from diverse backgrounds. They also highlighted the vision of Azim Premji University in promoting inclusive education and nurturing students to become socially responsible citizens.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Lalmalsawmi, Department of English and Secretary, Career Guidance and Counselling Cell, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons, the faculty members, and the organising team for making the event a success.

The sensitization programme proved to be highly informative and valuable, providing clarity on scholarship opportunities available through Azim Premji University.
