A Seminar on Renewable Energy was held on March 6, 2025, at Government Serchhip College to discuss advancements and applications of renewable energy technologies.

The seminar began with registration, followed by an Introductory Session. The welcome address was delivered by Er. R. Lalchhanhima, Project Director, ZEDA. This was followed by a short but insightful speech by Chief Guest Pu Lalrinzuala, MCS, Addl. DC, Serchhip District, who emphasized the importance of transitioning to renewable energy sources. He highlighted the growing global need for sustainable energy solutions, the potential of renewable resources in Mizoram, and the role of policy and community engagement in promoting clean energy adoption.

Technical Session - I
The technical session featured three key presentations by junior engineers from ZEDA, covering various aspects of renewable energy:

1. Energy Access using R.E. Technologies – Er. Maria Goretti Malsawmdawngkimi
2. Off-Grid Solar Technologies & Applications – Er. Benjamin Vanlalawmkima
3. Grid Connected Rooftop Solar PV Systems – Er. Mary Lalngaihzuali

Following the presentations, a discussion session was held, allowing participants to interact with the speakers, ask questions, and exchange ideas on practical applications of renewable energy.

The seminar concluded with remarks by Mr. Laldawngliana, EE (P&E), and Mr. H. Zoramthanga, SDO (P&E), Serchhip, who reinforced the importance of adopting renewable energy solutions and encouraged continued learning and research in the field.

The seminar provided valuable insights into renewable energy technologies and their applications, emphasizing the role of solar energy in sustainable development. It encouraged collaboration between experts and students to drive innovation and practical implementation of clean energy solutions.

The event successfully concluded with lunch, bringing an end to a day of learning, discussion, and knowledge-sharing.
