SEMINAR ON INDIAN KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM

On 27th August 2026, the Department of Education organised a seminar on Indian Knowledge System (IKS). Dr. K. Sarah was the Resource Person for the programme.

Dr. Sarah enlightened the participants on the evolution of the Indian system of knowledge, tracing its development from the Vedic period to the present-day education system. She highlighted the richness of India’s traditional knowledge and its continuing relevance in contemporary education and society. She also emphasised the importance and relevance of moral values in the present-day world and stressed the need to preserve and integrate such values into our educational practices.

The programme was chaired by Mr. Francis Lalhmingsanga and was attended by the assigned students as per the IQAC programme guidelines. The seminar provided the students with valuable insights into India’s rich intellectual heritage and the significance of connecting traditional knowledge and values with modern education.
