A seminar on 'Financial Literacy' was organized by the Consumer Club and Dept of Economics, Government Serchhip College in observance of World Consumer Rights Day 2025, on 17th March 2025.

The programme was chaired by Dr.Laldinpuia, HOD, Dept of Economics. The Resource Person Mrs.Ruthi Paununmuang, Manager RBI and Ms.K.Lalrammuanpuii, Asst.Manager, RBI provided valuable insights into various aspects of personal finance, including savings, investment and the role of banks in the economy. To make the session more interactive, a quiz on RBI related topics was conducted by the resource person. The quiz added an element of fun and learning, and prizes were awarded to the winners, encouraging active participation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks given by Miss Zairemmawii, Asst Professor, Department of Economics, expressing appreciation to all those involved in organizing the event.
