ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME AT GOVERNMENT SERCHHIP COLLEGE

On the 16th of August, 2024, Government Serchhip College organized a Road Safety Awareness Programme under the banner of the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the College's CCA Committee. The event, held at Block B-102, commenced at 2:00 PM and emphasized the theme, "Road Safety: Road Safety is Everyone's Responsibility."

The programme was chaired by Vanlalsanga, an Assistant Professor at Government Serchhip College. Jessie Zaithanmawia, ASI, Officer-in-Charge of Traffic from Serchhip Police, served as the Resource Person, delivering insightful information on the significance of road safety measures and the role of individuals in preventing accidents. The session concluded with a vote of thanks presented by H Lalchhanhima, Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme.

The programme was well-attended by selected students of BA First Semester, who were the primary audience for this initiative. The event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among the students regarding road safety, underlining the collective efforts required to ensure safer roads.

The event was a significant success in raising awareness among the students about the critical aspects of road safety and encouraging them to adopt safe practices in their daily lives.
