An enlightening Industry Expert Lecture was organized on Tuesday, 29th April 2025, at 10:00 AM. The event, held virtually via Google Meet, was a collaborative initiative between the Department of Computer Science, Government Serchhip College, and Higher and Technical Institute, Mizoram (HATIM).

The session centered around the topic "Unlocking the Power of Snowflake – A Comprehensive Introduction" and featured Ms. Vijayalaxmi, an accomplished Snowflake Architect at kipi.ai, who brings with her over 19 years of professional experience in the IT sector.

The program opened with a warm welcome and introductory remarks from Mrs. Jeanie Lalthanpari Poonte, Assistant Professor at GSC and introduced the guest speaker.

Ms. Vijayalaxmi delivered an engaging and in-depth presentation, focusing on the architecture, features, and growing relevance of the Snowflake platform in the realm of cloud-based data warehousing and analytics. Her talk offered valuable insights that greatly benefitted both students and faculty members, enhancing their understanding of current industry trends and technologies.

An interactive Q&A session followed the lecture, where students took the opportunity to engage with the speaker, asking insightful questions related to Snowflake's practical uses, career prospects, and real-world applications.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. K. Lalmuanpuia, Assistant Professor at HATIM, who acknowledged the contributions of the resource person and appreciated the active participation of attendees, ensuring the session’s success.
