PARENTS MENTOR MENTEE MEET 2026

A successful Parents–Mentor–Mentee Meet was organised by the Mentoring Cell and IQAC of Government Serchhip College, on 17th September 2026 at 12:40 PM at the college campus. The programme was organised with the objective of strengthening the partnership between the college, parents, mentors and students and fostering greater communication and support for the academic and overall development of the students.
The programme was conducted in two sessions. The first session was the Parents Orientation, which provided parents with an overview of the mentoring system and helped them understand their role in supporting their wards’ academic progress, attendance, participation and overall well-being. The orientation also emphasised the importance of regular communication between parents and mentors in identifying students’ needs and providing timely guidance.
The second session consisted of personal one-to-one interactions between mentors, mentees and their parents. The sessions were conducted in the designated rooms allocated to different groups of mentors. During these individual interactions, mentors had the opportunity to discuss the academic progress, attendance, participation and other relevant aspects of their mentees with their parents. The interaction also provided an avenue for parents to share their observations, concerns and suggestions regarding their wards.

The Meet concluded on a positive note, with active participation from parents, mentors and students. The programme highlighted the importance of collaboration, communication and shared responsibility in supporting students throughout their college journey.
