A successful and fruitful Parent–Teacher/Mentor Meet was held on 29th August 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the college classrooms, organized by the Mentoring Cell and IQAC of Government Serchhip College. Students (mentees) and their parents met their respective mentors in the assigned classes. The program was organized in two sessions.

Session I: Orientation and Interaction with Parents

The first session began with an orientation for parents to familiarize them with the college system, academic structure, and student support services. Mentors explained the roles and responsibilities of both students and mentors in ensuring effective academic progress. This was followed by interactive discussions, where parents shared their views, asked questions, and offered valuable suggestions for the improvement of the teaching–learning environment.

Session II: Review of Academic Performance

The second session was dedicated to a review of the students’ academic performance. Mentors presented the results of the recently conducted First Internal Test along with each student’s attendance record. This enabled parents to gain a clear understanding of their ward’s strengths and areas requiring more focus. Constructive feedback was exchanged, and parents were encouraged to guide their children accordingly.

The meet concluded on a positive and collaborative note, with parents appreciating the initiative as an effective platform for strengthening the partnership between parents, students, and mentors to ensure the overall development and progress of learners.
