On Friday, 16th August 2024, the Eco-Club, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Government Serchhip College, organized a paper bag-making activity. This event was held during the CCA period at 2:00 PM in Room B202. A total of 53 volunteers participated in the activity, including 27 male and 26 female students. Under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officers and Eco-Club teachers, the volunteers crafted paper bags using old newspapers. These paper bags will be distributed free of charge to local shopkeepers and market vendors in the Serchhip area. This initiative aims to promote the adoption of paper bags as a sustainable alternative and reduce dependency on single-use plastic bags.
