ONE-DAY SEMINAR ON TB AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

A One-Day Seminar on TB Awareness Campaign was organised by the NSS Unit and Campus Health Committee, Government Serchhip College, on 27 August 2026 (Thursday) at Room 202-B. The programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness among students about Tuberculosis (TB), its prevention, early detection, treatment, and the importance of seeking timely medical care.

The programme was chaired by Dr. S. Beihrosa, Programme Officer, NSS Unit, Government Serchhip College. The Resource Person, Mr. Sailoliana Sailo, Senior Treatment Supervisor, Serchhip, delivered an informative talk on TB, highlighting the importance of awareness, early diagnosis, proper treatment, and prevention of the disease.

The programme also featured a talk by Mr. Lalawmpuia Sailo, Coordinator, TB, Serchhip, who further sensitised the students about TB-related health issues and the importance of community participation in TB control and prevention.

A total of 86 students actively participated in the seminar. The interaction provided students with valuable information and encouraged them to become responsible health ambassadors within their families and communities.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. C. Vanlalnghaka, Programme Officer, NSS Unit, Government Serchhip College, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons, organisers, students, and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the seminar.

The seminar was successfully conducted and served as an important initiative for raising awareness about TB and promoting a healthier and more informed community.
