ONE DAY SEMINAR IN OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL WILDLIFE WEEK


On 7th October 2025, the Department of Zoology in collaboration with the Wildlife Protection Club, Government Serchhip College, organized a One-Day Seminar in observance of National Wildlife Week (2nd–8th October 2025). The event was held at Room No. 102(C) of the college premises.
The seminar aimed to promote awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and to encourage students to actively participate in protecting biodiversity. Dr. C. Vanlalnghaka, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, chaired the programme, while Dr. S. Beihrosa Head of Department, Department of Zoology served as the resource person, delivering an insightful and engaging lecture on wildlife protection and conservation strategies. Vote of thank was proposed by Melody Vanlalhmangaihzuali, Secretary, WIldlife Protection Club.
The programme was well attended by students and faculty members, who actively participated in the discussion sessions. The event successfully fostered a deeper understanding of the ecological significance of wildlife and the urgent need for collective efforts in safeguarding natural habitats.
