OBSERVANCE OF WORLD RIVERS DAY BY ECO CLUB OF GSC

The Eco Club of Government Serchhip College observed World Rivers Day on 4th October 2025 to raise awareness about the significance of rivers and the need for their conservation.
The program began with a short talk on the vital role rivers play in providing water, supporting biodiversity, and sustaining communities.
Members of the club actively participated in cleaning and collecting plastic waste, bottles, wrappers and other non- biodegradable materials that pollute water bodies .The drive not only help clean the area but also inspired the volunteers to adopt better waste management practices.
The observance served as a reminder that rivers are lifelines of our planet and must be safeguarded for future generations. The event inspired students to take responsibility in conserving natural resources and spread the message of water protection in their communities.
