OBSERVANCE OF INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2024 AT GOVERNMENT SERCHHIP COLLEGE


The Observance of International Youth Day 2024 at Government Serchhip College was held on 12th August 2024, under the theme “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development.” This theme highlighted the importance of digital literacy and innovation among youth in driving sustainable development.

The event was chaired by Dr. Lalhmangaihzuali Ralte, an NSS Programme Officer. The resource person was H. Lalchhanhima, also an NSS Programme Officer and the Head of the Department of Computer Applications (BCA). He delivered a presentation that explored the significance of digital engagement among youth, emphasizing how their involvement can lead to meaningful progress in sustainable development initiatives. His insights provided practical pathways for students to harness digital tools effectively.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. S. Beihrosa, a Programme Officer, who expressed gratitude to all participants and contributors. The event was attended by 35 volunteers, including 15 female and 20 male students. The programme was organized by the NSS Unit in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science (BCA), ensuring a well-rounded and impactful observance of this important day.
