Date: 18th July 2025, Time : 1:00 PM
Venue: Block C-202, Govt. Serchhip College

The NSS Unit of Government Serchhip College successfully organised the NSS Orientation Programme 2025 on 18th July 2025 at Block C-202. The programme aimed to introduce new volunteers to the objectives, principles, and activities of the National Service Scheme (NSS), as well as to foster a spirit of social responsibility and volunteerism among students.

The orientation programme was chaired by Dr. C. Vanlalnghaka, Programme Officer, who delivered the welcome address and highlighted the significance of NSS in shaping the personality and character of youth through community service. He encouraged students to actively participate in NSS activities and contribute meaningfully to society.

The resource person for the event was Dr. S. Beihrosa, Programme Officer, who provided a detailed presentation on the history, motto, symbol, aims, and core activities of NSS. He also explained the benefits of being an NSS volunteer, including opportunities for leadership, community engagement, and national-level recognition.

A total of 159 students participated in the orientation with great enthusiasm. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which the volunteers clarified their doubts and shared their expectations from the NSS programme.

The programme was a grand success and served as a motivating platform for the newly enrolled volunteers to embark on their NSS journey with dedication and commitment.
