National Science Day was successfully observed on 28th February 2026. The programme was organized by MY Bharat, Serchhip, in collaboration with the Science Departments of Govt. Serchhip College.
The resource person for the programme was Mr. H. Thangkhanhau, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science. He delivered an insightful lecture on Artificial Intelligence (AI), where he emphasized its growing importance in today’s world. He also highlighted various AI applications, explaining which ones are genuinely AI-based and clarifying common misconceptions.
He encouraged students to use AI responsibly and with caution, noting that while it can be highly beneficial, it also carries potential risks if misused.
The session was followed by an interactive group discussion, during which students actively asked questions and participated enthusiastically.
Overall, the programme was highly successful and proved to be both informative and enriching for all attendees.
