My Bharat, Serchhip, Mizoram, and the Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), Government Serchhip College organized the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” District-Level Competition on 6 August 2026 at 2:00 PM at Government Serchhip College.

The programme was organised with the aim of spreading awareness among young people about the dangers of drug abuse and encouraging them to make positive and healthy choices. More than simply talking about the issue, the programme gave young participants an opportunity to express their thoughts and messages through their own talents and creativity.

The competition featured a lively mix of music, dance, mime acts, elocution, slam poetry and painting, creating a space where students could showcase their abilities while speaking out against drug abuse. The different forms of expression brought energy and variety to the programme, while keeping the central message of a drug-free youth and a stronger society at the heart of the event.

The competitions were held at different venues within the college campus. Music, Dance and Mime Acts were held at the HD Rosanga Multipurpose Hall, while Elocution took place at Seminar Hall 1, Block C. Slam Poetry was conducted at B101, and the Painting Competition was held at B201.

Reel Making Competition

The Reel Making Competition gave participants another creative way to spread the message of a drug-free youth.

Slogan Writing Competition

The Slogan Writing Competition brought out short but powerful messages from the participants.

The district-level competition was not only about winning prizes. It provided an opportunity for young people to come together, express their ideas and use their talents for a meaningful cause. The enthusiasm and creativity shown by the participants reflected their willingness to contribute to the message of a drug-free society.

The winners of the district-level competition will represent the district at the State Level Competition, where they will have the opportunity to compete with participants from across the state. Through these successive levels, the participants will carry forward the message of a drug-free youth and contribute to the larger vision of “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat.”
