The pride of our college, the band Dotts., represented our institution at the MZI Inter College Beat Contest 2026 held on 4–5 March 2026 at Vanapa Hall. Prior to the event, the band successfully passed through the elimination round, where numerous bands had submitted audition recordings. Dotts. was selected as one of the twelve bands invited to perform at the final stage of the competition.

The band members- Gabriel Lalremengmawia (Economics, 4th Semester- Guitarist), Raphael Lalremruatdika (Zoology, 4th Semester- Keyboardist), Laldinpuia (BCA, 6th Semester- Rhythm Guitarist), C. Lalruatdika (History, 6th Semester- Drummer), Lalruatsanga (Physics, 2nd Semester- Bassist), and Vanlalṭanpuii (History, 4th Semester- Vocalist), performed as representatives of the Music Club of the college.

During the competition, the band demonstrated remarkable musical ability, stage presence, and coordination. Their performance received enthusiastic appreciation and commendation from the judges and the audience alike. Despite the constraints of limited preparation time, Dotts. proved themselves fully capable of standing alongside other highly competitive bands, showcasing a level of skill and professionalism that sets a promising benchmark for future bands from the college.

Dotts. can therefore be regarded as pioneers within the college’s contemporary music scene, embodying the values of dedication, perseverance, and passion. Their journey illustrates that even with limited resources, success is attainable through commitment and enthusiasm for one’s craft.

The college community takes immense pride in Dotts. and hopes that their achievement will serve as an inspiration and motivation for other aspiring musicians within the institution to pursue their talents with equal determination and creativity.
