A Memorandum of Understanding was recently signed between the District Programme Officer’s Office for Women & Child Development, Serchhip District and The Career Guidance and Counselling Cell, Government Serchhip College on 8th May, 2024, at the Principal’s Office. Additionally, the Women Development Cell at Govt. Serchhip College also renewed their MOU with the same office simultaneously. Representatives from all parties involved were present. The memorandum aims to protect and empower women, addressing issues such as education and awareness regarding domestic and sexual violence. Various initiatives, including training, orientation, and awareness programs, will be implemented to achieve these goals. The agreement is effective immediately upon signing by both parties and remains in effect for an initial term of 1(one) year, with the possibility of termination by either agency with written notice.
