A Marathon Race was organized at the College Annual Sports Week by the NSS Unit in collaboration with the Mental Health and Counselling Cell, Government Serchhip College, on 21st September 2026. The event was organized as part of the observance of World Suicide Prevention Month, with the aim of promoting awareness about mental health and encouraging students to adopt healthy and positive ways of coping with stress and emotional challenges.

A total of 42 students participated in the marathon, comprising 26 male and 16 female participants. The event provided students with an opportunity to engage in physical activity while emphasizing the important connection between physical fitness and mental well-being.

The marathon successfully promoted physical fitness, healthy living, mental well-being, discipline and resilience among the students. It also fostered a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork and camaraderie, while reinforcing the message that maintaining an active lifestyle can contribute positively to overall well-being.
