INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY


Serchhip, Mizoram – February 28, 2025

Government Serchhip College celebrated National Science Day with an international seminar titled "Beyond Boundaries: Empowering India's Youth to Lead in Global Science & Technology." The event, jointly organized by the Science Departments of the college, was held at the BCA Lab at 9:30 AM IST and was attended by science students and faculty members rounding up to 70 participants, and was chaired by Mrs. Malsawmsangi Varte, Assistant Professor.

The seminar featured Dr. Vanlalrinchhani Varte, Adjunct Assistant Scientist at the Department of Biology, University of Florida, USA, as the resource person. She delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of scientific research, global collaboration, and how Indian youth can contribute to advancements in science and technology at an international level.

Dr. Varte emphasized the need for interdisciplinary research, innovation, and higher education opportunities abroad. She encouraged students to pursue careers in science, highlighting various scholarships and research programs available for aspiring scientists. 

A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Laldingluaia Khiangte, Head, Department of Chemistry.

The event successfully marked National Science Day, reinforcing the significance of scientific inquiry and global perspectives in shaping the future of young scientists.
