The Women Cell, Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell & the Alumni Association of Government Serchhip College jointly organised an Interactive Session with Miss Ashlyn Malsawmsangi, alumna of the college (2019–2022 batch) and currently serving as Cabin Crew. The programme was held on 14th August 2025 (Wednesday) at 1:30 PM in Room B201 of the college.

The main objective of the event was to inspire and guide students by introducing them to the professional journey of a successful alumna and to provide insights into career opportunities in the aviation and hospitality sectors.

The session commenced with a welcome and introduction delivered by Mrs Lalnunthari Sailo, Chairperson of the Program, who briefly highlighted the purpose of the programme and introduced the guest speaker.

This was followed by the keynote session in which Miss Ashlyn Malsawmsangi shared her experiences, beginning with her academic life at Government Serchhip College and tracing her journey towards becoming a cabin crew member. She spoke about the challenges and opportunities she encountered, the skills required in the aviation industry, and the importance of perseverance and confidence.

An interactive Q&A session ensued, where students actively raised questions on topics such as aviation careers, communication skills, personal grooming, and preparation for professional life. The guest answered with practical advice and encouragement, making the session highly engaging.

The programme concluded with closing remarks and a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs H. Lalrinfeli, Assistant Professor, who acknowledged the valuable contributions of the speaker, the organisers, and the participants.

The session proved to be highly enriching, motivating the students to pursue their goals with determination. It also created a platform for strengthening student–alumni connections and broadening the career outlook of the participants.
