INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT- INTELLECT SHOWDOWN

On February 7, 2025, the IPR Cell of Government Serchhip College organized an "Intellect Showdown" among 2nd-semester students. Dr. Rebecca Lalmuanpuii, a member of the IPR Cell, facilitated the event.

The program aimed to educate students about intellectual property rights (IPRs) and their significance in today's innovative landscape.

Students were divided into 9 teams, each consisting of 6-10 members.

Teams were assigned topics related to IPRs and given 20 minutes to research and prepare their presentations.

Each team presented their findings, showcasing their understanding of IPRs and their applications, within a 10-15 minute time frame.

Dr. Lalhmangaihzuala,  a member of YUVA, Tourism Deprtment evaluated the presentations. Out of the 9 teams, 4 teams demonstrated exceptional excellence in their presentations. The best team was selected from these 4 teams and awarded cash incentives.

The Intellect Showdown successfully achieved its objective, empowering students with knowledge about intellectual property rights. The event encouraged critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication among the students.
