On Wednesday, 20th August, a Faculty Exchange cum Interaction Session was jointly organized between Government Serchhip College (GSC) and the Higher and Technical Institute,Mizoram (HATIM) at HATIM College, Lunglei.

The program commenced with a tea session at the Principal’s office, followed by an interactive session in the conference hall. The interaction began at 11:30 a.m. under the chairmanship of Dr. R. Lalnunthara, Principal of HATIM. A lively and fruitful discussion ensued, marked by active participation from faculty members of both institutions. The exchange primarily took the form of a Q&A session and dialogue on best practices adopted by the respective colleges.

Following the discussion, the Faculty Exchange Program was initiated. Two faculty members from GSC – Mrs.Jeanie Lalthanpari Poonte (Department of Computer Science) and Mr. K. Lalrinchhana (Department of History) – conducted classes at HATIM. Mrs. Jeanie taught two classes, while Mr. Lalrinchhana delivered one class in their respective subjects.

An exit meeting was later convened at the Principal’s office, during which both Principals shared their concluding remarks, emphasizing the importance of such academic collaborations. The meeting concluded with a prayer offered by Mr. C. Laldintluanga, Principal of GSC.

The visiting team from GSC departed from the HATIM campus at 4:30 p.m., marking the close of the day’s program. The event proved to be a meaningful platform for knowledge sharing, fostering academic collaboration, and strengthening ties between the two institutions for future cooperation.
