GSC Students Represent Mizoram at the 2nd Border Area Youth Exchange Program (21st-25th Feb. 2025)
Five students from Government Serchhip College—
Lalruatpuia (6th Semester, Department of Geography), Lalnghakliani (4th Semester, Department of Education),
Joseph Lalthazuala (6th Semester, Department of Economics)
Lalparmawii(6th Semester, Department of Political Science) and
Lalneihkimi (6th Semester, Department of Mizo)—represented Mizoram in the five-day Border Area Youth Exchange Program held in Guwahati.
Organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan under the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the program aimed to promote cultural exchange, unity, and cooperation among the youth of India's Northeastern states. Participants from Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Tripura engaged in various activities, fostering meaningful interactions and learning experiences.
The delegates from GSC actively participated in multiple events, including cultural performances, yoga sessions, field trips, and group discussions on social and national issues. Notably, they secured the third prize in the "Know Your India" Quiz Contest, showcasing their knowledge and dedication.
The event provided an enriching platform for students to explore diverse cultures, share ideas, and strengthen bonds with their peers from different states.
