GSC STUDENTS' PARTICIPATION IN VIKSIT BHARAT YOUNG LEADERS DIALOGUE 2026

Students of Government Serchhip College (GSC) participated as MY Bharat representatives from Mizoram in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, under the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Programme. The programme was held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from 9 to 12 January 2026, with the objective of promoting national integration, leadership development, and active youth participation in nation-building.

The participants departed from Serchhip on 6 January 2026 and returned safely on 16 January 2026.

On 9 January 2026, a traditional dance performance was presented by the Phunchawng Cultural Club, which was well appreciated for showcasing the cultural heritage of Mizoram at the national level.

Students also participated in various academic and creative competitions. In the Declamation Contest, Vanlalmawipuii (3rd Semester) delivered a speech on “Samvidhan Hatya Diwas: A Dark Chapter in Indian Democracy,” demonstrating confidence and strong oratory skills. In the Poetry Writing Competition, Malsawmzuali (1st Semester) presented a poem on “Viksit Bharat: A Bharat of Youth Dream and Aspiration,” reflecting the aspirations of Indian youth.

The programme provided opportunities for interaction with youth from different states, fostering unity, cultural understanding, and national integration. Overall, participation in the programme proved to be a valuable and enriching experience, enhancing leadership qualities, cultural pride, and a sense of national responsibility among the students (MY Bharat representatives).
