The 4th MLA Trophy – An Inter-Institution Excellence Award, organized by the Serchhip Teachers’ Association and sponsored by Pu Lalduhoma, MLA for the 26-Serchhip (ST) Constituency in Serchhip District and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Mizoram, was held on 11th September 2026. The event brought together students from various institutions to showcase their knowledge, skills and competitive spirit.

A total of 19 students from Government Serchhip College (GSC) participated in the Quiz Competition under the College & DIET category, which saw participation from students of GSC and DIET.

GSC achieved an outstanding feat by securing all three top positions in the competition:

🥇 1st Position: C. Lallawmsanga, V Semester, History
🥈 2nd Position: Malsawmzuali, III Semester, Political Science
🥉 3rd Position: Lalruatmawia, V Semester, Political Science

The prize distribution ceremony was held on 22nd September 2026, with Pu C. Laldintluanga, Principal, Government Serchhip College, as the Chief Guest. The winners were felicitated and presented with their prizes in recognition of their outstanding performance in the competition.

The remarkable achievement of our students has brought great pride and recognition to Government Serchhip College. Their success reflects their dedication, hard work, knowledge and enthusiasm for learning beyond the classroom.

The College also extends its appreciation to all 19 participants for their active involvement and commendable effort. Participation in such academic competitions provides students with valuable opportunities to broaden their knowledge, develop critical thinking and communication skills, build confidence, and enhance their overall personality and preparedness for future academic and career pursuits.

GSC takes pride in encouraging its students to actively participate in academic, co-curricular and competitive activities, which contribute significantly to their all-round development and help them grow into confident and capable individuals.
