GSC PARTICIPATION AT THE CHAPCHAR KUT CELEBRATION 2026

The celebration of Chapchar Kut 2026 had a lasting and memorable impact on our institution. Joel Lalhmangaihsanga (VI Semester, Mathematics) and HC Malsawmtluangi (VI Semester, Economics) served as the announcers for the important programme organized by the Chapchar Kut Working Committee, Serchhip under the Chairmanship of  Pu Lalrinzuala, Additional Deputy Commisioner, Serchhip District.

The event was vibrant and colourful as the Phunchawng Cultural Club performed beautiful cultural dances. During the festival, the members of the club presented two traditional dances that reflect the richness of Mizo culture—Bualpui Cheraw, the famous bamboo dance, and Chheih Lam.

In addition, selected students of the college participated in a Costume Parade, showcasing different traditional attires of the Mizo people. The programme also featured a graceful depiction of the well-known Mizo love story “Chawngmawii & Hrangchhuana.”

We are proud of our students for confidently showcasing their talents and representing the institution with great enthusiasm during this cultural event. We also express our sincere gratitude to the Chapchar Kut Working Committee, Serchhip for their trust and for providing our students with the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful and vibrant celebration.
