The Eco Club of Government Serchhip College observed World Handwashing Day on 14th October 2025 with the aim of promoting the importance of hand hygiene among students and staff. The theme for this year was “Clean Hands are Within Reach”, emphasizing the role of proper handwashing in maintaining health and preventing the spread of diseases.

The program began with a short speech by Miss Malsawmtluangi addressing the gathering and highlighted the global significance of this day. A presentation was given by Eco Club Secretary Hmingthansangi on the steps and techniques of effective handwashing.

The event successfully conveyed the message that simple habits like regular handwashing can prevent many infections and contribute to a healthier community.

The program concluded with a pledge ceremony, where all participants promised to practice and promote hand hygiene in their daily lives. The Eco Club members expressed their commitment to continue organizing such awareness activities in the future.
