The freshers' social for the academic session took place on 29th July 2024, at HD Rosanga Multipurpose Hall with the Principal Mr C. Laldintluanga as the chief guest. The event was well organized by the outgoing Students' Union (SU) Leaders, with Mr. Vanlalmuanawma as the lively host. The program commenced with a welcome speech from Vanlalfakpuia, outgoing General Secretary of the Students' Union, followed by dedication to God through Bible reading and prayer by Lalhriatpuia, the Evangelical Union leader.  The audience enjoyed inspiring speeches from the Chief Guest, Mr. C. Laldintluanga, as well as from Mr. N.B. Sachhei, a senior teacher and Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology, Mrs. Jeanie Lalthanpari Poonte, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, and  Mr. Laldampuia, the outgoing outdoor sport secretary. The program also included captivating dances from the cultural and dance clubs, a vibrant singing performance by Mr. Lalruatkima from the 3rd semester, and live band performances by the first semester band and the GSC band.

A key moment of the program was the announcement of the SU election results. The new SU Leaders were called on stage by Dr. Zarzosanga, the teacher in charge of the Electoral Literacy Club, and were congratulated by the Principal, Mr. NB Sachhei, and from the outgoing SU leaders. The program ended with a prayer from Dr. C. Vanlalnghaka, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology.
