As part of their Mushroom Cultivation syllabus, the SEC Botany students of GSC visited the Mushroom Spawn Laboratory under the Department of Horticulture, Serchhip, on 4th April 2025. They were accompanied by two faculty members, Dr. Lalhmangaihzuali Ralte and Dr. Lalremsiami Hrahsel. The department gave them a warm welcome, and Mr. R. Vanlalduhawma, Senior Horticulture Demonstrator provided a detailed, step-by-step explanation of the mushroom spawn production process. The students also toured the inoculation room, incubation room, and culture rooms, which greatly enhanced their practical understanding of the subject.
