Students enrolled in the Skill Enhancement Course on Mushroom Cultivation were given an enriching learning opportunity through an exposure visit to the Mushroom Spawn Laboratory under the Department of Horticulture, Serchhip on 18th March 2026. During the visit, Mr. Lalnunngila Sailo, Laboratory Technician, explained the various stages of spawn production, guiding the students through the processes from initial preparation to the culturing of spawn.
The visit provided students with valuable insights into the scientific methods and procedures involved in mushroom cultivation, helping them connect their theoretical knowledge with real-world practices. The exposure visit was organized by the Department of Botany, Government Serchhip College, led by Dr. Lalremsiami Hrahsel with the aim of broadening students’ understanding of the subject.
