CLOSING CEREMONY OF NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY, 2025


The Closing Ceremony of National Girl Child Day, 2025, took place on 24th January at DC Pisapui Hall, Serchhip, starting at 1:00 PM. The event was presided over by the Chief Guest, Mr Paul L Khuma, DC of Serchhip.

Mr James Lalremliana, DPO-in-charge, chaired the program. In his speech, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of empowering girls, while Mr. C. Laldintluanga, Principal of Government Serchhip College, encouraged girls to make the most of the opportunities available to them. A soulful solo performance by Mami Fanai added to the event's vibrancy.

 The program included the felicitation of exceptional girls by Mr Lalvensanga, DMC. Mrs V Lalruatsangi, SFL, presented prizes to the winners of the Public Speaking and Quiz Competitions.

 Public Speaking Competition Winners:

1st Place: Maria Zomuanpuii (2nd Semester, BA)

2nd Place: Lalnghakliani (4th Semester, BA)

3rd Place: Vanlalawmpuii (4th Semester, BA)

 Quiz Competition Winners:

 1st Place: Lawmsangzuala (4th Semester, BA) & Vansangpuii (4th Semester, BSc)

 2nd Place: Lalhunmawii & Lalrohluai (2nd Semester, BA)

 3rd Place: Lalramtiami & Lalpekhlua (2nd Semester, BSc)

 Consolation: Rosetina Lalruatsangi & Vanrammawii (4th Semester, BA)

 At the request of the Chief Guest, Maria Zomuanpuii, the first-place winner in public speaking, delivered her winning speech again, leaving the audience inspired.

 The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. K. Lalrintluanga, DEO, followed by refreshments. The program ended on a positive note, motivating everyone to continue supporting the empowerment of the girl child.
