CLEANLINESS DRIVE BY NCC & NSS UNIT OF GSC

On 26th February 2026, a cleanliness drive was jointly organized by the NCC Army Unit and the NSS Unit of Govt. Serchhip College within the college campus. The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting environmental awareness, maintaining campus hygiene, and encouraging a sense of social responsibility among students.

A total of 26 student volunteers, including 14 female and 12 male participants, actively took part in the drive. The programme was supervised and guided by two NSS Programme Officers along with NCC officers, who coordinated the activities and motivated the volunteers throughout the event.

During the drive, the volunteers cleaned different areas of the campus, including classrooms, corridors, playground surroundings, and common areas. Waste materials such as plastics, paper, and other non-biodegradable items were collected and properly disposed of. The activity emphasized the importance of cleanliness, waste management, and teamwork.

The programme not only helped in improving the cleanliness of the campus but also strengthened coordination between the NCC and NSS units. It served as a practical step towards fostering civic sense, discipline, and environmental consciousness among the students
