On 10th March 2026, the Govt. Serchhip College NSS Unit organized a cleanliness drive (Meilam Sial) at the NSS Plantation Site located along the Serchhip–Thenzawl Road. The programme was conducted with the aim of promoting environmental awareness, maintaining cleanliness in public spaces, and encouraging a sense of social responsibility among volunteers.

A total of 18 NSS volunteers actively participated in the drive, including 8 female volunteers and 10 male volunteers. They were guided and supported by four Programme Officers and faculty members who also took part enthusiastically in the activity.

During the programme, the volunteers cleaned the plantation area and the surrounding roadside by collecting litter, clearing unwanted waste materials, and ensuring that the area was properly maintained.
