CCA AWARENESS ON CRYPTOCURRENCY CAUTION


CCA 2nd August 2024: Jointly Organized Awareness Program on Cryptocurrency Caution: The Risks and Consequences

The Economics and Computer Science Departments collaborated with Consumer Club of the institution to organize an awareness program on the risks and consequences of digital money scams, with a focus on local and Indian contexts. The event featured Laldinpuia, Head of Economics Department, as the resource person, and was chaired by Lalchawimawia Famhawite, a 5th semester Economics student and Secretary of the Consumer Club. R. Lalthafamkima, a 5th semester Political Science student and Leader of the Consumer Club, delivered the vote of thanks.

The program included a PowerPoint presentation that enlightened attendees on various internet scams and tactics used by scammers. The audience, comprising students and teachers, engaged attentively throughout the session. The resource person, Sir Laldinpuia, concluded the presentation with safety measures to prevent and tackle online transaction fraud.

- 3rd semester BCA students

- 3rd semester BSc students

- 3rd semester BA students majoring in Political Science, Mizo, and English

- 5th semester Economics students

- Consumer Club members
