RED RIBBON SCAVENGER HUNT

The Red Ribbon Club, Drug Awareness Club, and NSS Unit of GSC collaboratively organized a Red Ribbon Scavenger Hunt as part of the Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme on 14th February 2025 at HD Rosanga Multipurpose Hall. The event aimed to educate students about HIV/AIDS in an engaging and interactive manner.

Before the event, red ribbons were prepared with important HIV-related facts and  myths
printed on them. A set of clues was designed, each leading to a hidden ribbon placed in strategic locations around the event area.

The event began with Mr. Lalbeiseisanga, a member of the CCA Committee, explaining the rules to the participants. Students from the 6th and 4th Semesters were divided into three groups, and each group received a set of clues guiding them to the hidden ribbons. As the scavenger hunt commenced, students actively searched for the hidden ribbon containing words related to HIV/AIDS. Upon finding a ribbon, each group was given three minutes to elaborate on the topic written on their ribbon, discussing key aspects such as how HIV spreads, methods of prevention, the importance of ART (Antiretroviral Therapy) and how to care for individuals living with AIDS. The participants enthusiastically presented their ideas, demonstrating both their knowledge and eagerness to learn.

Once all the ribbons were collected, points were allocated based on the difficulty of the clues and the depth of the group's explanations. After tallying the scores, the team with the highest points was declared the winner and awarded prizes in recognition of their participation.

The Red Ribbon Scavenger Hunt successfully combined learning and fun, encouraging students to actively engage with HIV/AIDS awareness in a dynamic and memorable way. The event aimed to enhance awareness while making learning enjoyable.
