Government Serchhip College is a prestigious undergraduate institution holding an esteemed NAAC 'A' grade . Recognized under sections 2 (f) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956, as affirmed in letter No.F.No.8-93/86 (CPP-1) dated October 27th, 1990, the college has experienced remarkable growth since its inception.
Embarking from humble origins, the institution has steadily expanded , witnessing growth in student enrollment, faculty,and infrastructure.While initially rooted in the Arts stream, it has evolved to offer a diverse array of courses spanning Arts,Science, and Bachelor of Computer Applications across 13 departments.
Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of New Serchhip, our campus sprawls across 52 acres , providing an idyllic atmosphere conducive to academic endeavors. Located at a latitude of 23.33287 and a longitude of 92.854572,our setting offers an optimal backdrop for learning , enveloped by lush greenery and a serene ambiance. Our campus is free from ragging , ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all. We actively promote extracurricular activities and boast amenities such as separate hostels for boys and girls, vibrant units of NCC(Air Wing &Army Wing) and NSS (5units), and various clubs for student engagement.
Presently, our institution boasts a dedicated team of 51 faculty and 13 staff members, serving a vibrant community of over 400 students.
