Dr. R. Lalthangliana, Minister, Higher & Technical Education, Health, Commerce & Industries, etc., inaugurated the new Women’s Hostel building of Government Serchhip College yesterday i.e the 20th of February, 2023.

A short function was held at the Seminar Hall of the College which was chaired by the Principal, Pi K.Laldinpuii. The Chief Guest, Dr.R. Lalthangliana gave a speech expressing his gratitude on the successful inauguration of Women’s Hostel on Mizoram State Day, a significant day in the history of Mizoram. He applauded the College on achieving yet another remarkable milestone while also mentioning the importance of always trying to evolve and develop. He also adviced the College to maintain its standard as an A Grade College and to continue to be an example for other colleges in Mizoram.

Pi Nazuk Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Serchhip District also shared a few words encouraging the College to always maintain its status quo as one of the best Colleges in Mizoram. Prof. Benjamin Lalrinsanga, SNO, NEP also gave a short speech mentioning how in recent years the healthy competition among Colleges in Mizoram has produced more NAAC Accredited Colleges, one of the highest in percentage among differest States in India.

Pu C. Laldintluanga, Vice Principal gave a short report as regards to the construction of the Women’s Hostel building highlighting that the Hostel have rooms enough to fit 24 students and 1 warden. He ended his speech with a Vote of Thanks.
